We offer regular samba classes in The Hague on Thursday evenings. The classes are independent drop-in classes, meaning that you can join anytime! Classes are open to all levels, so everyone is welcome to join!

If you have always wanted to try samba, if you are one of our loyal students, or if you already dance samba but you want even more enrichment, we are inviting all of you to come dance with us. The energy in our classes is amazing and very supportive. If it is your first time, we encourage you to come try and see for yourself.

Every class works with a different theme. We always practice technique, samba, choreography steps, walks and group formation. All classes are taught by Rio-trained samba dancer Julia Solis, who works with samba artists from Rio de Janeiro all year round to offer you the very best each class.

If you want to know what our students have to say about the classes, you can head to our reviews page for more information.

See below for our upcoming class dates.

With temporary availability, weekly classes are resuming. Stay tuned for the class schedule and upcoming workshops. See below for upcoming class dates

 FAQs

  • They absolutely are! Our samba classes are open to beginners and you can join anytime. We have different levels of dance experience and different body types in our classes. During the classes, each student is challenged in their own ways and you will see the growth with every week!

  • It is very important to us to keep dance as accessible as possible. This is why we offer discount packages that never expire. We also offer a student discount (code: STUDENT) for 10% off. Besides this, you are always welcome to come talk to us for any financial solutions.

  • Make sure you wear something that you can move comfortably in. Samba is one of the most active and athletic dances, so activewear is usually best for training. For your footwear, we usually train barefoot, on socks, or on trainers.

  • There is paid parking available in front of the studio and free parking across the street (behind the World Trade Centre). The studio can also be easily reached by public transport. It is located near two main train stations, with a tram stop at 3 min walking distance.

  • Depending on the attendees, classes are taught in Dutch or English. Julia speaks Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch and English so you can always ask is there is anything you don’t understand.
